Animal Parties at the Zoo
What better way to celebrate your child’s birthday than a unique experience for you and your guests?
All parties take place at our private location, a suitable and safe environment for the animals and to ensure a wonderfully unique and special event. Heythrop Zoo is set at a private location in the beautiful Cotswolds. We are only open by appointment only. We are not open to the public like a normal zoo. Our mission is to educate on animal welfare and behaviour, advance animal training standards worldwide and inspire the next generation to be the guardians of the wonderful animals and nature on our planet. As we are not open to the general public on a day-to-day basis, we are able to offer you exclusive and unforgettable animal experiences by appointment only.
What’s included?
Meet and Greet - Start off in our party room where you will have a meet and greet with a selection of small animals or reptiles
Zoo Tour - You will then go for a tour of the zoo; all children will have a Young Explorers Quiz to do on their walk round. Guests will be able to view Heythrop Zoo’s colony of Humboldt Penguins and other stunning birds. You will also see our troop of Squirrel Monkeys and our Conspiracy of Ring-Tailed Lemurs. As well as our mob of Red Kangaroos and Big Cat Enclosures. You will all continue through the zoo to see more of our Amazing Animals!
Party Room - You will then meet back at our party room for your lunch. Bring along your own party food to serve in our designated party area. You will need to supply your own food, drinks, and cake. Tables and chairs are provided along with plates, cups and cutlery. Please feel free to decorate the room in any way you would like to - please use white tack on any walls and the ceiling. We regret that due to the animals involved, we are unable to allow balloons. We have a small kitchen area that has an urn, a fridge, microwave and sink which you can use. The room is to be cleaned and left how you found it.
Photo Opportunity - After all the food is packed away, we will bring in 3 animals of your choice from the list below, to have photo opportunities with:
o Squirrel Monkey (facemasks currently required)
o Ring-Tailed Lemur (facemasks currently required)
o Two-Toed Sloth (subject to availability)
o Ferret
o Miniature Unicorn
o White Rabbit
o Llama
o Hares
o Pygmy Hedgehog
o Baby Alligator
o 16ft Albino Python
o Eagle Owl
o Penguin
The party will last roughly 2 ½ hours, including lunch. You can arrive an hour earlier to set up.
We offer three different price packages:
For up to 10 people total @ £500
For 11 – 15 people total @ £600
For 16 – 20 total @ £700

Note: All animals present at Heythrop Zoo are multi-generation captive-bred. We insist on the highest standards of Animal Welfare and Health & Safety. You will have the full assurance that the animals at your party and their fellow residents at Heythrop Zoo are under the very best care. All animals present with guests for the duration of the party have been specially selected for their calm temperaments. Their interaction with guests is treated as an enrichment exercise and we believe it is beneficial to help stimulate their minds.
